Central Jakarta Central Jakarta is one of the five cities (kota) which form Jakarta, Indonesia. It had 898,883 inhabitants at the 2010 Census. Central Jakarta is the smallest in area and population of the five cities of Jakarta. It is the administrative and political center of Jakarta and Indonesia. Central Jakarta contains a number of large international hotels and major landmarks such as Hotel Indonesia. YARSI University Universitas YARSI is private Islamic university located in Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta. Universitas YARSI was established by the Islamic Hospital Foundation of Indonesia on 15 April 1967. Its status changed to YARSI Medical School of Jakarta in 1969. Once YARSI was established as a medical school, the founders decided to create a new faculty, from 1988 to 1999 three faculties were established, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Industry Technology. At the same time the YARSI Medical School of Jakarta was changed to the Faculty of Medicine and all four faculties became Universitas YARSI. In 2007 YARSI added the Faculty of Psychology. YARSI has five faculties and nine departments/school.
