X Factor Indonesia The X Factor Indonesia is an Indonesian reality television music competition to find new singing talent; the winner of which receives a 1 billion rupiah including a recording contract with Sony Music Indonesia. Premiered on December 28, 2012 on RCTI, it is the 2nd franchise to be adapted in Southeast Asia after the Philippines. As part of the British The X Factor franchise, the show's format has numerous differences from rivals such as Indonesian Idol. The competition is open to both solo artists and groups and has no upper age limit. Each judge is assigned one of four categoriesâ€"boys between 15 and 25, girls between 15 and 25, individuals 26 and over, or groups. Kerispatih Kerispatih is an Indonesian pop band. Founded in 2003, as of 2010 they have released five albums, three going platinum. Kerispatih was founded on 21 April 2003. They started by playing ethnic Indonesian music, releasing their 1st album, Gulalikustik, in 2004. After being approached and signed by the record label Nagaswara, they switched to pop as it was more commercially viable. Pinkan Mambo Born and raised in Jakarta, Mambo began singing at an early age but only began to sing in public as a teenager. While still in senior high school, she found a job as a cafx singer and performed in numerous venues throughout Jakarta. In 2000 she joined songwriter and music producer Maia Estianty as part of Ratu after she met Estianty's husband Ahmad Dhani, the singer for the band Dewa 19; after six casting calls, Dhani invited her to join the band, which he had established for his wife and let her manage. The duo was successful, but because of conflict between the two members and Mambo's unintended pregnancy, she left the group. JKT48, Indonesian idol group

JKT48 JKT48 is an Indonesian idol group whose name is derived from its base city of Jakarta and the Japanese idol group AKB48. Formed in 2011, it is the 1st AKB48 sister group outside of Japan and adopts the concept of "idols you can meet". Fans can attend daily performances at the group's theater, which was built as a close replica to the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara. Producer Yasushi Akimoto decided to bring the AKB48 concept to Indonesia because the group had begun to develop a fan base in the country. Indonesia's growing economy was seen as a potential market by many Japanese companies, and Akimoto established a partnership with these businesses and the country's largest media conglomerate Global Mediacom, the southeast Asia's largest and most integrated media group to replicate the AKB48 business model. X Factor Indonesia Based on the UK format, the competition consists of auditions, in front of producers and then the judges with a live audience; bootcamp; judges' homes and then the live finals. Auditions for the show began in September 2012 and concluded in November 2012. The show was hosted by ex-VJ Robby Purba, while the judging panel consists of Ahmad Dhani, Rossa, Anggun and Bebi Romeo. Pop sensational singer Mulan Jameela filled in for Anggun at the auditions while Anggun was performing in her Europe Live Tour Concert. Ratu Ratu was the most successful female Indonesian music group of the 2000s. Aside from their music, they were known for their physical appearance and wide coverage in infotainment media. Through their choice in costumes, Ratu popularised Harajuku styles in Indonesia. Throughout their career, the band won numerous awards; they were the 1st musical act to twice be declared "Artist of the Year" and "Group/Duo Artist of The Year" at the MTV Ampuh music awards. This success inspired numerous other groups to follow in their tracks. After three years of preparation, in January 2003 Ratu launched their debut album Bersama with Sony Music Indonesia. Gombloh : His songs about patriotism and heroism

Gombloh Gombloh was born Soedjarwoto Soemarsono in Jombang on July 14, 1948. His parents were Slamet and Tatoekah. He studied at SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya. After graduating he continued his studies at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya. He moved to Bali after quitting his studies and became a street performer. After that, he joined the orchestra rock band, Lemon Tree's Anno '69, which was influenced by ELP and Genesis. They released Sekar Mayang, a Javanese language album, aside from their several Indonesian language albums. In 1982, Gombloh released the album Gombloh Berita Cuaca. Nike Ardilla Ardilla was born Raden Rara Nike Ratnadilla on 27 December 1975 in Bandung to parents of Ciamis and Bandung descent. Her father worked for the Indonesian railway operator PT Kereta Api, and the family had to move periodically throughout her childhood. They eventually settled in Bandung, West Java, where Ardilla began performing in talent shows at the age of 5, winning a local singing competition in 1980. In 1986 she joined the cast of the film Kasmaran, starring Ida Iasha and Slamet Rahardjo. Ardilla played Ida Iasha's daughter. In 1987 Ardilla contributed to a compilation album titled Bandung Rock Power, which featured Nicky Astria, Mel Shandy, and other well-known artists. Maling Kutang Maling Kutang is a 2009 Indonesian comedy film directed by Rako Prijanto. Starring Arie K. Untung, Indra Birowo, Deswita Maharani, and Kinaryosih, it follows two neighbours who steal a bra they think is magical. It was released to mixed critical reception. Syamsul and his wife Yuyun (Deswita Maharani) run an unsuccessful grocery store and are looking for a way to compete with that run by the friendly Ina (Kinaryosih), which is always full. Akademi Fantasi Indosiar Akademi Fantasi Indosiar was Indonesia's 2nd reality television show after Popstars Indonesia in which a number of contestants called students competed for the winning title and a chance to start their career in the entertainment industry. The 1st season premiered in the end of November 2003 and was one of Indosiar's highest rated shows. The theme song entitled "Menuju Puncak" was the same as Akademi Fantasia from Malaysia, composed by Aubrey Suwito. The format of the show was taken from La Academia, which originated in Mexico. Sang Pencerah Sang Pencerah is a 2010 Indonesian film directed by Hanung Bramantyo and starring Lukman Sardi, Zaskia Adya Mecca, and Slamet Rahardjo. It is a biopic of Ahmad Dahlan which describes how he came to found the Islamic organisation Muhammadiyah. Sang Pencerah , produced to coincide with Muhammadiyah's centenary, was announced in November 2009. Addie MS Addie Muljadi Sumaatmadja, better known as Addie MS , is an Indonesian conductor. He currently directs the Twilite Orchestra, which he founded in 1991. Born in Jakarta to a tile factory owner, Addie became interested in music at an early age. By the age of 12 he was studying to play the piano, and during high school he became involved with several musical projects. After failing to finish his university studies, Addie focused entirely on music. His 1st forays were into pop music, but in 1991 he abandoned the genre for classical music by dedicating himself entirely to his new orchestra. Since then, he has continued to conduct Twilite Orchestra, although he occasionally ventures into film soundtracks and pop songs. The daughter of musician Jack Lesmana and sister to jazz pianist Indra Lesmana, Mira Lesmana wrote her 1st song at age 16, which helped secure her brother a scholarship to study in Australia. Nugroho Notosusanto Nugroho Notosusanto was born in Rembang, Central Java, Dutch East Indies, on 15 July 1930, the 1st of three children born to R.P. Notosusanto, a professor of Islamic law and later one of the founders of Gadjah Mada University, and his wife. The family was well connected, and several of Nugroho Notosusanto 's relatives were bupati ; his grandfather, Notomidjojo, was likewise connected to the nobility. While still a child Nugroho Notosusanto began writing short stories; his father later recalled that they were filled with themes of struggle and nationalism.
