Gambir Station
Gambir Station Gambir Station is a major railway station in Gambir, Central Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia. It is located on eastern side of Merdeka Square. It was built by the colonial Dutch before World War II but renovated in the 1990s. Its lime-green ceramic facade dominates the Gambir subdistrict. Gambir Station are serve as arrival/departure point to most of intercity train operated across Java Island. Gambir Station are used to serve Jakarta's main commuter line, KRL Jabotabek Blue Line and Red Line (to Bogor), but currently these commuter trains don't stop at Gambir because of busy activities from intercity trains. The passengers are directed to Gondangdia Station. This station was built in classicism style in 1884 as Weltevreden Station. In 1927 this station was renovated in Art Deco style. In 1937 the name Weltevreden Station changed into Batavia Koningsplein Station and after the Indonesian independence the name changed again into Jakarta Gambir Station . In 1990, ...
