Karo people The Karo, or Karonese, are people of the 'tanah Karo' of North Sumatra and a small part of neighbouring Aceh. The Karo lands consist of Karo Regency, plus neighbouring areas in East Aceh Regency, Langkat Regency, Dairi Regency, Simalungun Regency and Deli Serdang Regency. In addition, the cities of Binjai and Medan, both bordered by Deli Serdang Regency, contain significant Karo populations, particularly in the Padang Bulan area of Medan. The town of Sibolangit, Deli Serdang Regency in the foothills on the road from Medan to Berastagi is also a significant Karo town. Karoland contains two major volcanoes, Mount Sinabung, which erupted after 400 years of dormancy in 2010, and Mount Sibayak. Karoland consists of the cooler high lands, and the upper and lower lowlands. The Karolands were conquered by the Dutch in 1906, and in 1909 roads to the highlands were constructed, ending the isolation of the highland Karo people . Mimpi Mimpi is a compilation album by Indonesian singer Anggun, features 2 hit singles " Mimpi " and "Bayang Bayang Ilusi". The album was released in 1989 under label Atlantic Records, Indonesia. The song " Mimpi " eventually got placed at number 47 on Rolling Stone Indonesia's "150 Greatest Indonesian Songs of All Time" list. Sari temple Candi Sari, is an 8th-century Buddhist temple located at Dusun Bendan, Tirtomartani village, Kalasan, Sleman regency, Yogyakarta. It is located about 130 metres north east from Kalasan temple. The temple was a two storey building with wooden beams, floors, stairs completed with windows and doors; all from organic materials which now are decayed and gone. It is suggested that the original function of this building was a vihara (Buddhist monastery), a dwelling place for monks. The temple's name Sari or Sarx translates as "to sleep" in Javanese, which also confirms the habitation nature of the building. Historians suggested that the temple was built around the same time as the Kalasan temple.
